For the last 12 years, Nitin has had the rare fortune of working with world-class entrepreneurs - as a venture or angel investor, startup team member or growth advisor - in both the US and in India.

With First Principles, Nitin is currently an active angel investor in 40+ startups, as well as the founder of Incrypt Blockchain.

Previously, Nitin has been a Founding Principal at Lightbox, now a $400 million AUM fund in India, where he also managed investments in India's largest pure marketplace model in the auto space, the largest fashion jewellery brand and the largest B2B payments platform.

Earlier in his career, Nitin was fortunate to learn the ropes of venture investing from some of the best, while being a US venture investor at New Enterprise Associates (NEA, a $20 billion fund) where he observed on multiple boards, invested in world-class companies like OPOWER, Millennial Media, ChannelAdvisor and Gilt, and co-led NEA's first education technology investment.

Nitin was also part of the early management team at EverFi, one of the world's largest education networks, reaching 25 million students, with $250M raised. He started his career as a technology investment banker at UBS in San Francisco. Nitin holds an MBA from The Wharton School, and two degrees from the University of Southern California. In 2012, he was nominated to join the prestigious Society of Kauffman Fellows for global leadership potential in venture capital.

In conjunction with his professional activities, he also serves on the India Advisory Boards of AngelList, EMVC (US-India fintech fund), the USC Viterbi School of Engineering, and TheBetterIndia. He is also actively engaged with the Indian central government's policy think tank (NITI Aayog) on frontier tech policy making.

Nitin has been a frequent speaker, guest faculty and media contributor across fora ranging from Wharton, Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs), the World Economic Forum (WEF), China Europe Int’l Business School, MIT Enterprise Forum, the National Law School of India, Y Combinator, TiE and national government programs in India and Switzerland.

Cathy Guo is an accidental entrepreneur and technologist. At First Principles, she leads market research and due diligence and has co-led investments in portfolio companies such as Clinikk and StayQrious. She has also worked with Nikhil and Nithin Kamath, the founders of Zerodha, in setting up True Beacon, a new-age asset management company.

Previously, Cathy was the CEO and Co-Founder of Dunya Labs, a blockchain tooling company headquartered in Singapore. She built a 20-member technology team in Bangalore for Dunya Labs and has stayed in India ever since.

Cathy has a degree in Economics and Philosophy from Columbia University. She is the co-author of Myth of the Entrepreneur, a book on social entrepreneurship published by Harper Collins India in 2017.

An intellectually curious wanderer, Sumukh has had entrepreneurial experience since age 16. His journey has led him from an e-commerce startup, to a precision agriculture solution (Farmalytics) to an year at Jaaga study, a unique experiential community for programming and building.

Before joining the efforts at Incrypt Blockchain, Sumukh was the founder and CEO of EzEther, one of the first decentralised fiat exchanges on the Ethereum platform (2016). He has also delved into deep learning on Fast.AI, and is currently also building ClientTree, a business growth solution for freelancers. Sumukh is an engineering graduate from the RV College of Engineering in Bangalore, and has been an active member of the local Techstars community.
